I was gracefuly impacted by your text: http://webspace.webring.com/people/nj/jwschmidt/qualia.htmlBecause of the great convergence with my own thoughts. Sensomics is the key, and sensosphere the field. Sensosphere is the world of sensations. And Sensomics the technology or biotechnology you use for your everyday action of perceiving. Your body in alert perception is a multi co operative system we call "mimouX", in 2.0 position. Shamanism and meditation is the way of learning. Shamanism is a dynamic process taken by a dynamic body. A dynamic body is a body in action, far from the sedentary image we have from normal scientist (mimouX 1.0). Shamanism thinking is children thinking (according to Fericgla, catalonian anthropologist). Sensosphere is identical to the "Flesh" of Merleau-Ponty. Sensations are available to science scrutiny, just being the basis of scientific observation. Sensomics (I just discovered in the Web) is already applied to flavors:http://pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/jf7036533 but as a very new science and technology. We expanded the sense of sensomics to all the world of sensations. In last years, I develop sensosphere knowledge through walking in early mornings in periurban surroundings. The bridge between sensation and Bergson (or Krishnamurti) "clairvoyence" is Peirce's Abduction... My intuition is that you are a naturalist too. At least because you like nature... I think that your clear ideas in your text are derived from a close phenomenological consciousness. Just because phenomenology, and sensomics, are not teories, but row observations, that can be scientificaly or objectively approached, as any information we share about our world. What phenomenology open up is SHAMANISM! after centuries hidden from the formal development of knowledge and science in Europe!!! The convergence among Biosemiotics, phenomenology, jung, neurosciences, psychology and so on, is about the basic process of attention to our physical world, that is, the basis of life for a living (active!), and thus, sentiente being. But as you clearly note in your text, sensations were all out from biologist interests! Being myself, as Wittgenstein, "an amateur", and after twenty years of serendipical epistemological exploration from my animal biology profesional label, for me is a great pleasure to meet you now. My stomach sensations are saying to me now something you could imagine. For that reason I am going to close my PC. But later, I will send you several references about all that. I only discover Wittgenstein recently. In this ten minutes "youtube". For me was a great simplification to explain what I tried to explain...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4TEkGT0BqEA Sincerely... agustin antunez corrales
